US President Donald Trump introduced new Merit based
immigration system for high-tech professionals from countries such as India, can get the benefit. In his
first address to the US Congress, Donald Trump said, "Merit based
immigration system is applicable in Canada, Australia and many other countries
in the world. Adopting a merit based system instead of existing lower-skilled
immigration system will have many advantages. This will save the dollars on a
large scale. Workers' salaries will increase. Apart from this, people
struggling will be helped. This will also help immigrant families to enter the
middle class. Naascom's corporate communications head Kavita Doshi said
that the current statement of Trumpet is according to his old stance. The Doshi said, "Trump has always told the entry of high-skilled labour in
the US. Instead of discussing this H-1B visa issue, we should give credit to
this idea. “When asked, White House chief strategist Steve Bain said that the
number of Indian CEOs in Silicon Valley is a bit higher. Kavita Doshi said that
everyone should remember this thing, not everyone thinks like Steve.
In the past, the
Immigration Attorney of the Times of India Mark Davis had said, "Donald
Trump's statement about the removal of the H-1B visa program is a political
position. The purpose of such statements is to prevent misuse of this program.
However, we believe that this will not affect L-1 visas. He had said that Trump
has been continuously resorting to the business and tech community. He has been
invited by the Tech Community's High Skilled People to America. Although
the concern of most IT companies is that the things that Trump has said in his
address have to be increased in the salaries of the workers on the
implementation. Analysts believe that the implementation of new rules of H-1B
visas will help those people who are really high-skilled.
